Miller Tavern ~ 3885 Yonge Street ~ 416 322 5544

The Miller Inn building dates back to around the mid-1800s, originally surfacing as the historic York Mills Hotel. Named after a local mill owner, it had a sordid past nearly a hundred years ago involving gambling and police raids during Prohibition. It also served as a prime location for weary travelers between Lake Simcoe and Toronto. Now Miller Tavern, a fine dining seafood restaurant complete with Oyster Lounge, it’s as much a part of uptown Toronto history as Yonge Street itself.  It also boasts one of the city’s largest outdoor patios…an absolute must, for those hot summer nights…

Wildfire Steakhouse & Wine Bar ~ 3438 Yonge Street ~ 416 483 4800

This fine dining steakhouse only uses Quebec-sourced maple charcoal and has an open concept kitchen. Wildfire Steakhouse & Wine Bar has a wide wine selection that has won the Wine Spectator Best Award of Excellence three years running.

Of course, the true deal breaker in any neighbourhood’s appeal cannot be left untouched. There are eight Starbucks and eight Tim Horton’s locations in the immediate area around the Cricket Club.

All good things, so much to offer…so close to home.  Stay tuned for the next update, on the new local hot spots!!
